[438] **"For whom there is nothing of his own (sakaṃ) in the world"** — **"For whom"** means: for the arahant whose taints (āsava) are destroyed. **"There is nothing of his own"** means: for whom there is nothing whatsoever pertaining to form, to feeling (vedanā), to perception, to volitional formations, or to consciousness that is grasped, clung to, adhered to, held onto, or resolved upon as "this is mine" or "this belongs to others" … burned up by the fire of knowledge (ñāṇa) — therefore, "for whom there is nothing of his own in the world."
