[458] **"And whoever wander in the world out of greed":** "Whoever" means khattiyas, brāhmaṇas, vessas, suddas, householders and those gone forth (pabbajita), devas and humans. **"Out of greed"** means whatever greed (lobha) there is — the act of being greedy, the state of being greedy; lust (sārāga), the act of lusting, the state of being lustful; covetousness (abhijjhā); greed, the unwholesome root (akusalamūla). **"Wander"** means they wander, dwell, move about, carry on, maintain themselves, keep themselves going, sustain themselves. **"In the world"** means in the world of the states of loss (apāyaloka) … in the world of the sense bases (āyatana). Hence, "and whoever wander in the world out of greed."
