[52] **"This generation gone into craving in existences (pajaṃ imaṃ taṇhagataṃ bhavesu)":** "Generation (pajā)" is a designation for beings.
**"Craving (taṇhā)":** craving for forms, craving for sounds, craving for odours, craving for tastes, craving for tangibles, craving for dhammas.
**"Gone into craving (taṇhagataṃ)":** gone into craving (taṇhā), gone along after craving, diffused along with craving, fallen into craving, cast down by craving,³ overcome [by craving], with mind (citta) consumed [by craving].
**"In existences (bhavesu)":** in sense-sphere existence, in form-sphere existence, in formless existence. Thus: "this generation gone into craving in existences."
