[662] **"Grasped after judging among dhammas" (dhammesu niccheyya samuggahītaṃ):** "Among dhammas" means: among the sixty-two speculative views (diṭṭhigata). "Having judged" (niccheyya) means: having judged, decided, investigated, scrutinized, weighed, evaluated, elucidated, and made evident — any delimiting grasp, entangled grasp, grasp [of a view] as supreme, grasp at a portion, accumulating grasp, or amassing grasp, [holding] "This is true, actual, factual, real, exact, not otherwise" — anything thus grasped, clung to, adhered to, cleaved to, or resolved upon: there is none, it does not exist, it is not found; it has been abandoned, cut off, stilled, tranquilized, rendered incapable of arising again, burnt by the fire of knowledge (ñāṇa). Therefore it is said: "grasped after judging among dhammas."
