[664] **"For he does not see another dhamma as supreme"** means: he does not see, does not behold, does not look upon, does not contemplate, does not examine any other teacher, exposition of the Dhamma, group, view, practice, or path — apart from the establishments of mindfulness (satipaṭṭhāna), apart from the right strivings (sammappadhāna), apart from the bases of spiritual power (iddhipāda), apart from the faculties (indriya), apart from the powers (bala), apart from the factors of awakening (bojjhaṅga), apart from the noble eightfold path — as a dhamma that is foremost, supreme, superior, preeminent, highest, and most excellent. Therefore, "for he does not see another dhamma as supreme." Hence the Blessed One said:
For the brahmin (brāhmaṇa) there is nothing to be led by another,
nor any grasping after judging among dhammas;
therefore he has passed beyond disputes,
for he does not see another dhamma as supreme.
