[8] **"In a creature in whom desire has arisen"** — "Desire": that which, in regard to sensual pleasures, is sensual desire (kāmacchanda), sensual lust (kāmarāga), sensual delight (kāmanandi), craving for sensual pleasures (kāmataṇhā), sensual affection (kāmasneha), sensual fever (kāmapariḷāha), sensual infatuation (kāmamucchā), sensual holding (kāmajjhosāna), the flood of sensuality (kāmogha), the yoke of sensuality (kāmayoga), clinging to sensuality (kāmupādāna), the hindrance (nīvaraṇa) of sensual desire (kāmacchandanīvaraṇa). That sensual desire has arisen in him, has come into being, has been produced, has been fully produced, has become manifest. **"A creature" (jantu)**: a being (satta), a man (nara), a youth (mānava), a person (posa), an individual (puggala), a living being (jīva), one who is born (jātu), a creature (jantu), one who fares according to kamma (indagu), a human being (manuja). Hence, "in a creature in whom desire has arisen."
