[828] **One should not create affection for form (rūpa)** — herein, "form" means the four primary elements (mahābhūta) and the form derived (upādāyarūpa) from the four primary elements. **One should not create affection for form** means: one should not create affection (sneha) for form, should not create desire (chanda), should not create love (pema), should not create lust (rāga); one should not generate it, should not engender it, should not produce it, should not bring it forth. Therefore it is said, "one should not create affection for form."
