Suttapiṭaka · Khuddakanikāya · Mahāniddesa · Vol. 29 · Section 904

[904] **Or in caves of the mountains (pabbatānaṃ guhāsu vā):** mountains are simply mountains; ravines are simply ravines; mountain caves are simply mountain caves. The spaces between mountains are called the hollows of mountains. **Of the mountains:** in the caves of the mountains. Therefore the Elder Sāriputta said: For a bhikkhu who is repelled [by the world], resorting to an empty seat, the root of a tree, a charnel ground, or the caves of the mountains.
