[930] **A wise one (dhīra) should not fear the five fears** — *a wise one*: one who is wise (dhīra), learned (paṇḍita), possessing wisdom (paññavā), intelligent (buddhimā), possessing knowledge (ñāṇa) (ñāṇī), discerning (vibhāvī), sagacious (medhāvī). A wise one should not fear the five fears, should not tremble, should not be frightened, should not be terrified, should not fall into terror; he would be fearless, unalarmed, not terrified, not one who flees; he would dwell with fear and dread abandoned, with horripilation gone. Thus, "a wise one should not fear the five fears."
