[143] A **light cloak (lahupāpuraṇa)** means any cloak whatsoever for the hot season.
**"For one having it procured" (cetāpentiyā)** means: for one asking for it (viññāpentiyā).
**"It should be procured at a value of two and a half kaṃsas at most"** means: it should be procured at a value of ten kahāpaṇas.
**"If she should have it procured beyond that"**: she asks for one beyond that — in the effort there is an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa); upon obtaining it, it becomes subject to forfeiture (nissaggiya).

It should be forfeited to a Saṅgha, or to a group, or to a single bhikkhunī. And thus, Bhikkhus, should it be forfeited: "Ladies, this light cloak of mine, procured at more than two and a half kaṃsas at most, is to be forfeited; I forfeit it to the Saṅgha" … "should give" … "should give" … "I give it to the lady."
