[233] When five days have passed, and she perceives that they have passed, there is an offense (āpatti) of pācittiya. When five days have passed, and she is in doubt, there is an offense of pācittiya. When five days have passed, and she perceives that they have not passed, there is an offense of pācittiya.
When five days have not passed, and she perceives that they have passed, there is an offense of dukkaṭa. When five days have not passed, and she is in doubt, there is an offense of dukkaṭa. When five days have not passed, and she perceives that they have not passed, there is no offense (anāpatti).
