[363] There is no offense (anāpatti): if, having given notice (apaloketvā), she has it lanced, or has it cut open, or has it washed, or has it anointed, or has it bandaged, or has it unbandaged; if any discerning woman [4] is present as her companion; if she is insane; if she is the first offender.
