[190] **"They too, surely, would abandon suffering (dukkha)"** — *"They too"*: khattiyas, brāhmaṇas, vessas, and suddas; householders and those gone forth (pabbajita); devas and humans — they would abandon it.
*"Suffering"*: they would abandon, dispel, make an end of, and bring to non-existence the suffering of birth (jāti), the suffering of aging (jarā), the suffering of illness (byādhi), the suffering of death (maraṇa), and the suffering of sorrow, lamentation, pain, grief, and despair. Therefore: "They too, surely, would abandon suffering."
