[350] *Of what kind is liberation for him?* (vimokkho tassa kīdiso): the brahmin asks about liberation (vimokkha): "Of what kind is the liberation for him — of what shape, of what mode, of what counterpart — that is to be desired [by that person]?" Thus: "Of what kind is liberation for him?" [Editorial footnote line in the Siam Raṭṭha page, reproduced in place:] #1 M. (Burmese edition): "na parivasantī" ti — "in whom sensual pleasures do not dwell (yasmiṃ kāmā na vasanti)." 2 M. (Burmese edition): "na sati." So too below. *Of what kind is liberation for him?* Therefore that brahmin said: "In whom sensual pleasures do not dwell (thus said the venerable Todeyya), in whom craving (taṇhā) is not found, and who has crossed over doubt — of what kind is liberation for him?"
