[436] **Gone to the far shore of all dhammas (pāraguṃ sabbadhammānan ti):** the Blessed One has gone to the far shore through direct knowledge (abhiññā), gone to the far shore through full understanding (pariññā), gone to the far shore through abandonment (pahāna), gone to the far shore through development (bhāvanā), gone to the far shore through realization (sacchikiriyā), gone to the far shore through attainment (samāpatti); that is, he has gone to the far shore through direct knowledge of all dhammas, gone to the far shore through full understanding of all suffering (dukkha), gone to the far shore through abandonment of all defilements (kilesa), gone to the far shore through development of the four paths, gone to the far shore through realization of cessation, gone to the far shore through attainment of all attainments. He has attained mastery, attained perfection, in noble virtue; attained mastery, attained perfection, in noble concentration (samādhi); attained mastery, attained perfection, in noble wisdom; attained mastery, attained perfection, in noble deliverance (vimutti). He has gone to the far shore, reached the far shore; gone to the end, reached the end; gone to the summit, reached the summit; gone to the utmost limit, reached the utmost limit; gone to the conclusion, reached the conclusion; gone to the shelter, reached the shelter; gone to the cave of refuge, reached the cave of refuge; gone to conduct (caraṇa), reached conduct; gone to the fearless, reached the fearless; gone to the imperishable, reached the imperishable; gone to the deathless, reached the deathless; gone to Nibbāna, reached Nibbāna. He has completed his abiding, fulfilled his conduct … for him there is no round of birth, aging, and death, no renewed existence. Therefore, "gone to the far shore of all dhammas."
