[451] *Kiṃsusaññojano loko* — "What is the fetter of the world?" means: what is the world's fetter (saṃyojana), its attachment, its bond, its defilement (upakkilesa)? By what is the world yoked, joined, fastened, thoroughly fastened, stuck, made to cling, held back? Hence, "What is the fetter of the world?" ¹ Ma. (Burmese edition) reads: *uttānīkaromi pakāsemīti*.
