[453] **"Through the abandoning of what is it called Nibbāna?"** means: through the abandoning, the calming, the relinquishment, the tranquilization of what is it called, termed, spoken of, uttered, explained, designated "Nibbāna (Nibbāna)"? Hence: "Through the abandoning of what is it called Nibbāna?" Therefore that brahmin said: By what fetter is the world bound? What is its means of roaming about? Through the abandoning of what is it called Nibbāna?
