[473] **For one whose perception of form has vanished (vibhūtarūpasaññissa):** What is perception of form (rūpasaññā)? The perception (saññā), the perceiving, the state of having perceived, of one who has entered upon a form-sphere attainment (rūpāvacarasamāpatti), or of one who has been reborn [in the form sphere], or of one who dwells in pleasure in this very life — this is perception of form.
**For one whose perception of form has vanished:** for one who has gained the four formless attainments (arūpasamāpatti), perceptions of form have vanished, have been made to disappear, are passed beyond, fully transcended, overcome; hence, "for one whose perception of form has vanished."
