[562] **As taught (desita) by the Buddha (yathā buddhena desitaṃ)**: "By the Buddha" — he who is the Blessed One … "Buddha" — this is a designation (paññatti) based on realization (sacchikā paññatti), namely "Buddha." "As taught by the Buddha" means: as declared, taught, made known, established, disclosed, analyzed, made plain, and proclaimed by the Buddha — therefore, "as taught by the Buddha."
