[579] **"Come, I shall proclaim words imbued with praise (vaṇṇa)"** (handāhaṃ kittayissāmi giraṃ vaṇṇūpasañhitaṃ).
**"Come, I" (handāhaṃ):** this is a word-junction (padasandhi) … This word "handa" follows the sequence of words.
**"I shall proclaim" (kittayissāmi):** I shall proclaim, teach, make known, establish, disclose, analyze, make plain, and reveal words — speech, ways of speech, utterance — that are endowed with, fully endowed with, come to, fully come to, arrived at, fully arrived at, and possessed of praise. Therefore: "Come, I shall proclaim words imbued with praise."
Hence the Elder Piṅgiya said:
Of him who has abandoned stain and delusion,
who has given up conceit and detraction (makkha) —
come, I shall proclaim words imbued with praise.
