[638] **"For my mind (mano), brahmin, is yoked to that":** "mind" — that which is mind (citta), mentality (mano), the mental (mānasa), the heart (hadaya), the bright (paṇḍara), mind, the mind base (manāyatana), the mind faculty (manindriya), consciousness (viññāṇa), the aggregate of consciousness (viññāṇakkhandha), the corresponding mind-consciousness element (tajjā manoviññāṇadhātu).
**"Brahmin, ... yoked to that":** my mind is yoked, conjoined, to that [place] where the Buddha is; therefore, "for my mind, brahmin, is yoked to that." Hence the Elder Piṅgiya said:
"Being old and of feeble strength,
my body for that very reason does not go there;
but by a journey of intention I go constantly,
for my mind, brahmin, is yoked to that."
