[782] **"Nourishing no other, walking on an uninterrupted alms round" (anaññaposī sapadānacārī):** "Nourishing no other" — that Paccekasambuddha nourishes only himself, not another.
One who nourishes no other, who is known, well established
in what is essential,³ whose taints (āsava) are destroyed,
who has expelled fault — him I call a brahmin.
**"Nourishing no other, walking on an uninterrupted alms round":** That Paccekasambuddha, in the morning, having dressed and taken his bowl and robe, enters a village or a town for alms — with body guarded, with speech guarded, with mind (citta) guarded, with mindfulness established, with faculties restrained, with eyes cast down, accomplished in the postures (iriyāpatha) — and, advancing from family to family,¹ he walks for alms. Hence, "nourishing no other, walking on an uninterrupted alms round."
