[280] And what is the conduct (caritaṃ) of beings? The formation of merit (puññābhisaṅkhāra), the formation of demerit (apuññābhisaṅkhāra), and the formation of the imperturbable (āneñjābhisaṅkhāra), whether belonging to a limited plane or to a great plane — this is the conduct of beings.
