[294] How many are the standpoints for views (diṭṭhiṭṭhāna)? How many are the obsessions of views (diṭṭhipariyuṭṭhāna)? How many are views (diṭṭhi)? How many are the adherences to views (diṭṭhābhinivesa)? What is the uprooting of the standpoints for views (diṭṭhiṭṭhānasamugghāta)? How many [kinds of] view are misapprehension through adherence (abhinivesaparāmāsa)? How many are the standpoints for views? There are eight standpoints for views. How many are the obsessions of views? There are eighteen obsessions of views. How many are views? There are sixteen views. How many are the adherences to views? There are one hundred and thirty adherences to views. What is the uprooting of the standpoints for views? The path of stream-entry (sotāpattimagga) is the uprooting of the standpoints for views.
