[638] What is supreme emptiness (aggasuñña)? This state (pada) is supreme, this state is best, this state is distinguished, namely: the stilling of all formations, the relinquishment of all acquisitions (upadhi), the destruction of craving (taṇhā), dispassion, cessation, Nibbāna — this is supreme emptiness.
