[142] I performed the building of a stūpa (thūpa) for the Blessed One Siddhattha;
a girdle I gave for the building-work (navakamma) of the Teacher.
And when the great stūpa was completed, I gave a girdle once again
to the Sage, the Protector of the World — confident, with my own hands.
In the ninety-fourth aeon (kappa) from now, when I gave the girdle then,
I know of no bad destination (duggati): this is the fruit of building a stūpa.
My defilements (kilesa) have been burned away; all existences (bhava) have been uprooted;
like a she-elephant that has burst her bond, I dwell without taints (āsava).
Welcome indeed was my coming into the presence of the best of Buddhas;
the three true knowledges (vijjā) have been attained; the Buddha's teaching (sāsana) has been done.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and these eight liberations (vimokkha) as well,
and the six superknowledges (abhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching has been done.
Thus indeed did the bhikkhunī Mekhaladāyikā speak these verses.
