[511] The classification of form (rūpa) in the ninefold manner (navavidhena rūpasaṅgaho): the eye faculty (cakkhundriya), the ear faculty (sotindriya), the nose faculty (ghānindriya), the tongue faculty (jivhindriya), the body faculty (kāyindriya), the femininity faculty (itthindriya), the masculinity faculty (purisindriya), the life faculty (jīvitindriya), and whatever form is not a faculty (indriya). Thus is the classification of form in the ninefold manner.
