That body which is the sensitivity (pasāda) derived from the four primary elements (mahābhūta), included in one's own person (attabhāvapariyāpanna), invisible (anidassana), and impinging (sappaṭigha); by which body — invisible, impinging — one has touched, or touches, or will touch, or might touch a tangible object (phoṭṭhabba) that is invisible and impinging: this is body, this is the body sense base, this is the body element (kāyadhātu), this is the body faculty (kāyindriya), this is a world (loka), this is a door (dvāra), this is an ocean (samudda), this is the lucid (paṇḍara), this is a field (khetta), this is a basis (vatthu), this is the near shore (orimaṃ tīraṃ), this is an empty village (suñño gāmo).
