[1006] Therein, which are the seven obsessions (pariyuṭṭhāna)? The obsession of sensual lust (kāmarāga-pariyuṭṭhāna), the obsession of repulsion (paṭigha-pariyuṭṭhāna), the obsession of conceit (māna-pariyuṭṭhāna), the obsession of views (diṭṭhi-pariyuṭṭhāna), the obsession of doubt (vicikicchā-pariyuṭṭhāna), the obsession of lust for existence (bhavarāga-pariyuṭṭhāna), the obsession of ignorance (avijjā-pariyuṭṭhāna) — these are the seven obsessions.
