[1009] Therein, which are the seven kinds of misconduct (duccarita)? Destruction of life (pāṇātipāta), taking what is not given (adinnādāna), sexual misconduct (kāmesumicchācāra), false speech (musāvāda), divisive speech (pisuṇā vācā), harsh speech (pharusā vācā), and frivolous talk (samphappalāpa) — these are the seven kinds of misconduct.
