[242] Twenty-two faculties (indriya): the eye faculty (cakkhundriya), the ear faculty (sotindriya), the nose faculty (ghānindriya), the tongue faculty (jivhindriya), the body faculty (kāyindriya), the mind faculty (manindriya), the femininity faculty (itthindriya), the masculinity faculty (purisindriya), the life faculty (jīvitindriya), the bodily-pleasure faculty (sukhindriya), the bodily-pain faculty (dukkhindriya), the joy faculty (somanassindriya), the grief faculty (domanassindriya), the equanimity faculty (upekkhindriya), the faith faculty (saddhindriya), the energy faculty (viriyindriya), the mindfulness faculty (satindriya), the concentration faculty (samādhindriya), the wisdom faculty (paññindriya), the 'I shall come to know the unknown' faculty (anaññātaññassāmītindriya), the perfect-knowledge faculty (aññindriya), the perfect-knower faculty (aññātāvindriya).
