[261] Therein, what is contact (phassa) with the six sense bases (saḷāyatana) as condition? Eye-contact (cakkhusamphassa), ear-contact (sotasamphassa), nose-contact (ghānasamphassa), tongue-contact (jivhāsamphassa), body-contact (kāyasamphassa), mind-contact (manosamphassa) — this is called contact with the six sense bases as condition.
