[296] Therein, what is the sixth sense base (chaṭṭhāyatana) with name (nāma) as condition (paccaya)?
That which is mind (citta), mentality (mano), mentation (mānasa), heart (hadaya), lucidity (paṇḍara), mentality (mano), the mind base (manāyatana), the mind faculty (manindriya), consciousness (viññāṇa), the aggregate of consciousness (viññāṇakkhandha), the corresponding mind-consciousness element (tajjā manoviññāṇadhātu) — this is called the sixth sense base with name as condition.
