[806] Therein, what is wisdom in higher virtue (adhisīle paññā)? The wisdom (paññā), understanding (pajānanā), … non-delusion (amoha), investigation of dhammas (dhammavicaya), right view (sammādiṭṭhi) that arises in one restrained by the Pātimokkha restraint (pātimokkhasaṃvara) — this is called wisdom in higher virtue. Therein, what is wisdom in higher mind (adhicitte paññā)? The wisdom, understanding, … non-delusion, investigation of dhammas, right view that arises in one entering upon an attainment (samāpatti) of the fine-material sphere (rūpāvacara) or the immaterial sphere (arūpāvacara) — this is called wisdom in higher mind. Therein, what is wisdom in higher wisdom (adhipaññāya paññā)? Wisdom in the four paths (magga) and in the four fruitions (phala) — this is called wisdom in higher wisdom.
