Abhidhammapiṭaka · Vibhaṅga · Vol. 35 · Section 835

[835] Therein, what is wisdom (paññā) in the six superknowledges (abhiññā)? Knowledge (ñāṇa) of the kinds of supernormal power (iddhividha); knowledge of the purification (visuddhi) of the ear element (sotadhātu); knowledge of the minds (citta) of others; knowledge of the recollection of past lives (pubbenivāsānussati-ñāṇa); knowledge of the passing away and reappearance (cutūpapāta) of beings; knowledge of the destruction (khaya) of the taints (āsava) — these are wisdom in the six superknowledges. Thus is the basis of knowledge (ñāṇavatthu) by way of the sixfold division. [Siam Raṭṭha editorial footnote ¹:] Elsewhere the reading "…niggayhavāritappatto" is also found.
