[9] Therein, which feeling (vedanā) is past? That feeling which is past, ceased, departed, changed, disappeared, utterly disappeared; which, having arisen, has departed; which is past, included in the past portion — namely, pleasant feeling, painful feeling, neither-painful-nor-pleasant feeling: this is called past feeling.
Therein, which feeling is future? That feeling which is not born, not become, not come into being, not produced, not fully produced, not become manifest, not arisen, not fully arisen, not uprisen, not fully uprisen; which is future, included in the future portion — namely, pleasant feeling, painful feeling, neither-painful-nor-pleasant feeling: this is called future feeling.
Therein, which feeling is present? That feeling which is born, become, come into being, produced, fully produced, become manifest, arisen, fully arisen, uprisen, fully uprisen; which is present, included in the present portion — namely, pleasant feeling, painful feeling, neither-painful-nor-pleasant feeling: this is called present feeling.
