[1210] Sakavādin: Is it only the five strands of sensual pleasure (kāmaguṇā) that are the element of sensuality (kāmadhātu)?
Paravādin: Yes.
S: Is there not desire (chanda) associated with them?
P: Yes.
S: If there is desire associated with them, then indeed you should not say that only the five strands of sensual pleasure are the element of sensuality.
S: Is there not lust (rāga) associated with them, desire-and-lust (chandarāga) associated with them, intention (saṅkappa) associated with them, lust associated with them, intention-and-lust (saṅkapparāga) associated with them, rapture (pīti) associated with them, joy (somanassa) associated with them, rapture-and-joy (pītisomanassa) associated with them?
P: Yes.
S: If there is rapture-and-joy associated with them, then indeed you should not say that only the five strands of sensual pleasure are the element of sensuality.
