[1262] [S.] Verbal action (vacīkamma) originated (samuṭṭhita) by an unwholesome (akusala) mind (citta) is form (rūpa), is unwholesome?
[P.] Yes.
[S.] Is it [a state] with an object (sārammaṇa)? Is there for it adverting (āvajjanā) … resolve (paṇidhi)?
[P.] It should not be said thus. …
[S.] Is it not without an object (anārammaṇa)? Is there not for it no adverting … no resolve?
[P.] Yes.
[S.] If it is without an object, and there is for it no adverting … no resolve, then indeed you should not say: "Verbal action originated by an unwholesome mind is form, is unwholesome."
