[1466] [Sakavādin:] Is the continuity of mind (cittasantati) concentration (samādhi)? [Paravādin:] Yes. [S:] Is past continuity of mind concentration? [P:] It should not be said thus. … [S:] Is the continuity of mind concentration? [P:] Yes. [S:] Is future continuity of mind concentration? [P:] It should not be said thus. … [S:] Is the continuity of mind concentration? [P:] Yes. [S:] Is it not the case that the past has ceased and the future is unborn? [P:] Yes. [S:] If the past has ceased and the future is unborn, then surely, good sir, it should not be said that the continuity of mind is concentration.
