[1469] [Paravādin:] Is it not to be said that continuity of mind (citta-santati) is concentration (samādhi)? [Sakavādin:] Yes. [Paravādin:] But was it not said by the Blessed One: "I, friends Nigaṇṭhas, am able — without moving the body, without uttering speech — to dwell for seven nights and days experiencing exclusively pleasure"? Is there indeed such a discourse (suttanta)? [Sakavādin:] Yes. [Paravādin:] In that case, continuity of mind is concentration.
