Abhidhammapiṭaka · Kathāvatthu · Vol. 37 · Section 1488

[1488] [P.] Should it not be said, "Sound is a result (vipāka)"? [S.] Yes. [P.] But was it not said by the Blessed One: "Because that deed (kamma) was done, accumulated, amassed, and abundant, he has the voice of Brahmā and speaks like the karavīka bird" — does such a discourse (suttanta) indeed exist? [S.] Yes. [P.] Then indeed sound is a result. The Discussion "Sound Is a Result" (Saddo vipāko ti kathā) [is concluded]. __________________ Discussion of the Six Sense Bases (Saḷāyatanakathā) [Notes in the Siam Raṭṭha text: 1.
