[1627] [S.] Could one who has attained the cessation of perception and feeling (saññāvedayitanirodha) die?
[P.] Yes.
[S.] Could poison enter, could a weapon enter, could fire enter into the body of one who has attained the cessation of perception and feeling?
[P.] It should not be said thus. …
[S.] Could poison not enter, could a weapon not enter, could fire not enter into the body of one who has attained the cessation of perception and feeling?
[P.] Yes.
[S.] If poison could not enter, a weapon could not enter, and fire could not enter into the body of one who has attained the cessation of perception and feeling, then indeed it should not be said that one who has attained the cessation of perception and feeling could die.
