Abhidhammapiṭaka · Kathāvatthu · Vol. 37 · Section 1844

[1844] "Should it not be said, 'There is psychic power that accomplishes one's intention (adhippāya-iddhi) on the part of Buddhas or of disciples (sāvakas)'?" "Yes." "But did not the Venerable Pilindavaccha resolve (adhimucci) upon the palace of Seniya Bimbisāra, King of Magadha, 'Let it be gold' — and it was indeed gold?" "Yes." "If the Venerable Pilindavaccha resolved upon the palace of Seniya Bimbisāra, King of Magadha, 'Let it be gold,' and it was indeed gold, then indeed, sir, it should be said, 'There is psychic power that accomplishes one's intention on the part of Buddhas or of disciples.'" The Discussion of Psychic Power (Iddhikathā) is concluded. __________ Discussion of Buddhas (Buddhakathā)
