[242] S. Does an Arahant (arahā) fall away from Arahatship (arahatta)?
P. An Arahant who is temporarily liberated (samayavimutta) falls away from Arahatship; an Arahant who is not temporarily liberated (asamayavimutta) does not fall away from Arahatship.
S. Does an Arahant who is temporarily liberated fall away from Arahatship?
P. Yes.
S. Does an Arahant who is not temporarily liberated fall away from Arahatship?
P. It should not be said thus.
