[261] S. Is it because Fully Self-Enlightened Ones (sammāsambuddhā) do not arise among the devas that there is no living of the holy life (brahmacariyavāsa) among the devas?

S. Is it that only where Fully Self-Enlightened Ones arise is there the living of the holy life, and that where Fully Self-Enlightened Ones do not arise there is no living of the holy life there?
