[352] "The past eye (cakkhu) exists, forms (rūpā) exist, eye-consciousness (cakkhuviññāṇa) exists, light (āloka) exists, attention (manasikāra) exists; and yet one does not see a past form with the past eye?" "Yes." "The present eye exists, forms exist, eye-consciousness exists, light exists, attention exists; and yet one does not see a present form with the present eye?" "It should not be said thus." … "The past ear (sota) exists … the nose exists, the tongue exists, the body exists … the mind (mano) exists, phenomena (dhammā) exist, mind-consciousness (manoviññāṇa) exists, the base (vatthu) exists, attention exists; and yet one does not cognize a past phenomenon with the past mind?"
