[S.] Are all phenomena (dhammā) establishments of mindfulness (satipaṭṭhāna)?
[P.] Yes.
[S.] But was it not said by the Blessed One: "Bhikkhus, they do not partake of the deathless (amata) who do not partake of mindfulness occupied with the body (kāyagatāsati). Bhikkhus, they partake of the deathless who partake of mindfulness occupied with the body"¹ — is there indeed such a discourse (suttanta)?
[P.] Yes.
[S.] Do all beings partake of, obtain, practise, develop, and make much of mindfulness occupied with the body?
[P.] It should not be said thus. …
