Sakavādin: Yes (āmantā).
Paravādin: Does the past exist in such a way as "the future"? Does the past exist in such a way as "the present"? Does the future exist in such a way as "the past"? Does the future exist in such a way as "the present"? Does the present exist in such a way as "the past"? Does the present exist in such a way as "the future"?
Sakavādin: It should not be said thus. …
Paravādin: Then, in that case, the past exists in such a way and does not exist in such a way; the future exists in such a way and does not exist in such a way; the present exists in such a way and does not exist in such a way.
