There is unknowing (aññāṇa) in the Arahant, and yet the Arahant, overcome by unknowing, would not kill a living being, would not take what is not given, … would not destroy a village, would not destroy a market town? P. Yes. S. There is unknowing in the worldling (puthujjana), and yet the worldling, overcome by unknowing, would not kill a living being, would not take what is not given, … would not destroy a village, would not destroy a market town? P. It should not be said thus. …
