[645] P. It should not be said that all conditioned things (saṅkhārā), without qualification, are hot embers (kukkuḷa)?
S. Yes.
P. Is it not the case that whatever is impermanent has been declared by the Blessed One to be suffering (dukkha), and that all conditioned things are impermanent?
S. Yes.
P. If whatever is impermanent has been declared by the Blessed One to be suffering, and all conditioned things are impermanent, then indeed, sir, you should say that all conditioned things, without qualification, are hot embers.
